Welding and cloning

Welding and cloning

I made a ship on 3D max. insted of molding the ship straight from a stamdard primitive box i deleated one whole side of the box , once this was done i copied the box by draging the box whilst holding SHIFT but instead of copying it as a normal copy i copied it to an "instant" this meant that i can edit the first box which i copied and anything that happens to the first box will also happen to the second copied box, this proces means saves time and mean i will have an model that is identical on both sides. To edit the model i made it an editable mesh and use the tools such a vector selector and extrude to edit it.
once i was happy with my model i had the weld the two box`s to do this i moved them to join using the movement tool on 3D max after this i had to attach them using the "Attach" tool, after this i had to weld the two standard primitives i did this by using the vertex tool to select down the middle of the model one i had hilighted it i attached them.

This is my space ship once i added coulor and texture using the material editor
